This is an impromptu shrine to Ianto Jones on Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay. Ianto was a fictional character in the TV series Torchwood, a spin-off from Doctor Who, which was patly filmed in Mermaid Quay. Ianto died in a confrontation with an alien species known as the 456 in the mini series Children of the Earth broadcast in July 2009.
